Vintage ceramic bud vase by Takahashi for Gump's San Francisco, made in Japan 1960s-70s.
Rectangular base with narrow neck and circular dot incised design. Glossy blue glaze with black accents. The glaze ends a little above the bottom revealing the matte red/brown clay beneath. Original gold label on base - this piece was made by Takahashi in Japan for the luxurious Gump's Department Store in San Francisco.
Conditon:
In excellent vintage condition. No cracks, chips or other damage. Minor wear on base consistent with age.
Measurements:
8cm tall x 7cm wide x 5cm deep = approx 3.25" x 2.75" x 2"
Small circular opening, 11mm diameter at top edge.
Lovely as part of a set, as shown in last image.
