Vintage Zanesville Stoneware Company ribbed cylindrical vase, homespun in Ohio circa 1960.
Made from distinctive yellowish clay with a lovely brown-grey-beige irregular wash glaze. The glaze was applied unevenly so that each piece is unique. The underside of the raised stripes have less glaze so the original brown-yellowish colour of the clay can be seen. The vase has a cylindrical shape and heavy, sturdy weight.

In excellent vintage condition, some irregularities in the form and glaze as it is handcrafted. No chips, cracks or repairs.
