Antique Victorian stoneware ginger beer bottle made by Batey & Co. of Doulton Lambeth in London, England during the late 1800s.

Authentic speckled tan coloured salt glaze. BATEY incised into top edge and 41 DOULTON LAMBETH incised on outside near base. This is an early example of one of William Batey's ginger beer bottles. The cylindrical shape with small circular opening makes a lovely bud vase.

Condition:
In very good condition for its age but some chips on the rim. No cracks or other damage.

Measurements:
17.5cm tall x 6.8cm diameter = approx 7" x 2.75"
Small circular opening, 2cm diameter.

More lovely vases also available, as shown in last image.

William Batey established his ginger beer factory on the east side of Kingsland Road, south of the Regents Canal around 1853.
