Authentic antique wooden bowl, likely made in the USA circa 1910.
Carved from hardwood, this is a beautifully preserved large bowl. It has been used for years to serve salad, churn butter or for making dough (markings inside bowl reflect these traditions - see photos). The shape is slightly warped from years of use, adding to the charm and character of the bowl. It has a subtle lip at the outside edge. It's a lovely example of rustic farmhouse decor which would make a stunning fruit bowl or centrepiece.
Condition:
The bowl was turned from a solid piece of wood. It is in very good condition but it does have a crack on one side (see photos). The wood has developed a lovely patina with a stunning depth of colour from years of use. Deep signs of age and wear make this is a unique rustic piece.
Measurements:
8cm tall x 32.5cm deep x 30.2cm wide = approx 3.25" x 12.75" x 12"
