Catalina Pottery ceramic planter - California, USA 1940s

Vintage Catalina Pottery ceramic scalloped planter, made in Catalina, California in the 1940s.

Retro colouring with seafoam green glazed exterior and peachy pink glazed interior. Unique scalloped shape, resembles a shell. Catalina Pottery - Made in USA ink stamp marking on base.

Condition:
In very good vintage condition, some staining on the inside and ageing of the glaze on the bottom but no chips or damage.

Measurements:
8.5cm tall x 23cm long at widest point x 15cm wide at widest point = approx 3.5" x 9" x 6"

Catalina Pottery is the commonly used name for Catalina Clay Products. Catalina Clay Products was founded in 1927 and produced pottery on Santa Catalina Island in California. In 1937 the company changed hands and moved all production to Los Angeles.
