Vintage mid-century Scandinavian design by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand stoneware bowl, made in Sweden in the 1950s.

Rörstrand 'R' and three crowns, SWEDEN, GN markings on the base. Marked as style ARO - this is the medium size. Factory 2nd - likely due to irregular glaze coverage on base and cut in foot ring from production. Shades of warm light brown and grey blend together in a lovely semi-matte haresfur glaze that resembles rabbit fur. Some subtle graphite markings on the surface, as is common for this type of glaze. Beautiful sculptural form. It is a rare collector's item of iconic Swedish design.

Condition:
In excellent vintage condition. There is an irregular cut into the foot ring but this is from production. No chips, cracks or damage.

Measurements:
8.2cm tall x 16.1cm wide x 12cm deep = approx 3.25" x 6.25" x 4.75"

More Nylund pieces with similar colouration also available, one shown in last image.
