Mid-century Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand Sweden vintage Rubus stoneware bowl, made in Sweden in the early 1960s.

Rörstrand three crowns, SWEDEN, GN markings on the brown matte glazed base. Also marked as style '2'. This is a style from the famous 'Rubus' line. Silky, textured surface glazed in shades of brown. Heavy, sturdy round form made from stoneware chamotte. This is a rare collector's item of iconic Swedish design.

Condition:
In very good vintage condition. Some burst glaze bubbles in centre from production. Some very light grazes/marks on underside, normal signs of use for a vintage piece, I have tried to represent them in my photos. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Measurements:
6cm tall x 17cm diameter = approx 2.25" x 6.75"

Matching blue and yellow coloured bowls also available, as shown in last image.

He is best known for his artistic direction of Rörstrand where he worked from 1931-1955. He became well known for his new matte feldspar glazed stoneware in hares fur and crystal glazes.
