Vintage Cenedese 'Scavo' glass bottle vase. Made in Murano, Italy circa 1960s.
Signed Cenedese bottle style vase with narrow neck and rim in aqua scavo-style Murano glass. Etched signature 'Cenedese' on underside of base with remains of original foil label.
Created in the "Scavo" technique, with organic abstract spatter in gray and white as surface decoration all around the vase.

In 1946 Gino Cenedese formed the company Cenedese & Co in Murano, Italy.
The Scavo (excavation in Italian) technique involves heating the glass to over 800°C to create a patina reminiscent of excavated archaeological glass.
