Large mid-century sommerso glass vase by Pavel Hlava for Exbor Glassworks. Hand crafted in Czechoslovakia, circa 1960s.
Lovely collector's item with a long raindrop sommerso layer of pink, encased in clear blue-toned glass. Very pretty colouration. The tall, flat form is elegant and modernist. Thick walls and sturdy weight. Very narrow opening, perfect for a single stem.
Condition:
In moderate vintage condition. Many surface scratches and fleatbite chips, mostly on sides so they don't detract from the front and back views of the piece. Please see photos for details and contact with any concerns prior to purchase. Condition is reflected in price.
Measurements:
27.8cm tall x 9cm wide x 5cm deep = approx 11" x 3.5" x 2"
Small round opening approx 8mm.
