Pair of Antique French art nouveau ceramic vases by Jerome Massier Vallauris from the 1890-1910s.

Collector's item with a beautiful art nouveau twisted form. Vibrant turquoise to eggplant ombré with a smooth shiny glaze. JEROME MASSIER VALLAURIS marking on base.

Condition:
One is in very good vintage condition with just some slight scratching on the glaze, very subtle. The other is in good vintage condition but does have some small chips around the opening and some damage to the base resulting in some hairline cracking, however water tight and sturdy.

Measurements:
Between 11.5-11.8cm tall x approx 8.5cm diameter at widest part = approx 4.75" x 3.5"
Circular opening 4.7cm diameter.

Looks gorgeous alongside Pisgah Forest Pottery pieces also listed in my store, see last image.

The Massier family were a dynasty of potters dating back to before the French Revolution in Vallauris, France. In 1860 Jérôme Massier joined his cousins, Clément and Delphin Massier and they began producing a style of ceramic which bridged traditional Victorian majolica and Art Nouveau pottery. They mastered the copper oxide flambé technique for glazing, which allowed them to introduce a new, intensely vibrant colour palette.
