Vintage ceramic bud vase by Takahashi for Gump's San Francisco, made in Japan 1960s-70s.
Rectangular form with narrow neck and small indentations around base - has the appearance of a small house with a chimney. Glossy oil slick glaze in brown tones which ends a little above the bottom revealing the matte red/brown clay beneath. This item was made by Takahashi in Japan for the luxurious Gump's Department Store in San Francisco.
Conditon:
In excellent vintage condition. No cracks, chips or other damage.
Measurements:
8cm tall x 7cm wide x 5.5cm deep = approx 3.25" x 2.75" x 2.25"
Small circular opening, 1cm diameter at top edge.
