Vintage Zanesville Stoneware Company ribbed round planter, homespun in Ohio circa 1960.
Made from distinctive yellowish clay with a lovely soft bluey green glaze in between ribbed uncoloured stripes. The raised stripes create a unique texture. The planter has a round shape and a heavy, sturdy weight. 4004 model marking on base. Could be used indoors or outdoors.
Condition:
In very good vintage condition, some small imperfections in the glaze as it is handcrafted. There is a chip on the bottom edge, not very noticeable and doesn't affect the integrity of the pot.
Measurements:
11.5cm height x approx 13.5cm diameter = approx 4.5" x 5.25"
More Zanesville styles also available, as shown in last image.
