Heinrich Porcelain traces back to porcelain painter Franz Heinrich, who, in 1896, installed a muffle kiln inside his parents’ home. He first ordered white ware from the local companies, until in 1901 he began to produce his own porcelain. Selb is regarded to be the European capital of porcelain. Heinrich, Rosenthal and Hutschenreuther produced almost half of the German porcelain ware during the mid century.
